One day last summer my mechanic was coming in to the shop in the morning and he opened the main door and there was a large snake sitting in the entry way. He must have jumped up 5 feet in the air and screamed like a baby, it was a serious situation but also hilarious on how high he jumped!

Couple weeks back we had a new young guy starting at our facility and we have an “initation” to our team, everyone has to go through it. Basically we ask the person on their 1st day to do a task that is next to near impossible and we wait to see when they crack or start freaking out. Well this particular kid was having no part of it and hauled buns for his car the moment we asked him to fly mow the hill on one while our early birds were out, the hill is about 100 yards wide and 100 yards long…it was funny.

My 15 year old daughter asked to borrow my clubs to golf with some kids from school. I gave my consent with the stipulation that she use anything in the bag – except my lucky pink Titleist. A few hours later I got a tearful call from her telling me to get to the golf course as soon as possible, there was a situation. She had failed to set the parking break on the cart and as she walked away to tee up, it slowly rolled into the lake. As I neared the disaster I was surveying the mostly submerged cart, clubs and all, and then spotted my daughter. She walked towards me entirely soaked, reached into her pocket, and extracted my lucky pink ball. It was impossible not to smile! wendy@fishbranchtreefarm.com

At the time, our new guy, James, had just started it, it was his 2nd day on the job and we have this real old JD Tractor that we use. This tractor is a blast, it’s hard to start, hard to drive, and hilarious to watch people that aren’t used to riding them try. It took James about 45 minutes to get it started, another 15 minutes to attempt to drive it, and listening to him curse under his breath the whole time was priceless…mind you we were all acting busy with other tasks while we watched and laughed from a far. Now that he has been here awhile he is waiting on someone else to quit or be hired so he can partake in the hazing.
